The ONES team went on the road with KRS1 for his NZ tour suppling the OFFICIAL KRS-1 NZ TOUR MERCHANDISE, KRS destroyed each venue leaving classic fans of the legend in awe! DJ QUIK probably the most underrated musician in the rap genre. He produced a lot of music for Tupac and many others from the West Coast n abroad. You will know his music for sure but may not know exactly who he is.
QUIK never sold-out to the corporate world, kept his ground and without him you wouldn’t have some of the rappers around today.
So if you’re a Wayne fan or Drake fan… Check out a real legend and witness the guy who helped make it possible for your rap music today. Respect.

It’s Saturday 3rd of March, the ONES Crew are about to delve into a historic lesson of Hip Hop…
School has commenced & we have a substitute… “The Teacha” himself… KRS-ONE.
We all know KRS, a true advocate for Hip Hop, 25+ year veteran & BET Lifetime achievement award winner. He’s the real deal, he really is! Living through the birth of Hip Hop as a culture all the way to its modern form KRS has seen it all. By slim chance you don’t know of his name… please do some research on him and educate yourself.
The event that takes place is a closed greeting, welcoming KRS to the land down under.
Strictly an invites only function consisting of a “who’s who” in Sydney Hip Hop & no doubt the ONES crew were in the mix.
The Metro in SYDNEY was the chosen venue by the tour promoters, a good choice of size to keep numbers to a minimum which also created an intimate & almost surreal seminar.
Kicking off the talks was WENO from indigenous group the LAST KINECTION, then graffiti writer SPICE followed by SEREK of DEF WISH CAST. Each spoke about their projections of Hip Hop to which enlightened the audience and gave a great insight for the next speaker, KRS.

KRS is on the mic “the real hip hop is over (HERE)”
He begins his talk at the very beginning, MalcolmX & Martin Luther King.
Giving us the run-down on what happened back then, what each movement stood for and how they failed.
At a glance it seamed a bit off topic… but then POW!!! He swings it all into context and that was the feeling of “you just got schooled” KRS tied all the loose ends to what we thought Hip Hop was, the TEACHA was here. The way he speaks is parallel to how he emcees, you completely understand why that’s his profession. What a BEAST!
Never once did he come across as if he was preaching, everything KRS talks about is based on fact.
A once in a lifetime listen.

I tell you now, he’s the baddest mofo on this planet. Huge respect! He gives all credit to the people before him which i think really sums him up.
